Welcome to Class 2! Our whole-Key Stage 2 class (Years 3-6) allows children to discover, grow and learn whilst forming strong bonds and nurturing friendships across year groups.

Our curriculum is relevant, accessible, challenging and exciting for all children, regardless of age, stage or ability. As well as Maths, English and Science we study a range of foundation subjects each week; these are taught on a 4-year rolling curriculum to ensure a wide-range of topics are covered, and to build on prior skills and knowledge whilst avoiding repetition. Children spend four years in Class 2, which - along with our small class size - means we are able to really get to know them, understand them, and become an integral part of their learning journey.

Class 2 builds on the strong foundations of learning and life-skills established in Class 1, seeking to expand children’s horizons even further. We promote a culture of mutual respect and independence, encouraging children to take responsibility for their learning, whilst never being afraid to make mistakes or ask for help. We enjoy weekly Class Debates about world issues, and love getting stuck into a good Class Reader. We emphasise the importance of enjoying learning and school life, and want our children to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Our older children are fantastic role models for the younger members of the class (and the school), and are always keen to ‘show them the ropes’; from School Librarians to School Parliament Prime Ministers and Deputies, they help lead our school from within, and represent our students and their ideas wonderfully.

All of our children are empowered to make good decisions, both independently and together, which will help see them succeed in the wider world, whatever their goals, dreams or aspirations.
