Wraparound Care

At Earl Sterndale C of E Primary School, we understand how important flexible childcare is for our families. We are committed to ensuring that children can access a range of safe, supportive and engaging care beyond the school day.

Our commitment is to ensure every family has access to appropriate childcare through a combination of school provision, partnerships and clear signposting.

We offer a free Breakfast Club from 8:20am to 8:50am and an After-School Club from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. The clubs are run by school staff, and there is a charge of £5 per child per hour for the After-School Club, payable via ParentPay.

If you require care outside of these hours, please contact the school office. We will always do our best to support our families. Where we are unable to provide care directly on site, we will signpost families to suitable local options.

Breakfast Club

We offer a range of nutritious food, including toast, cereal, yogurt and fruit, along with a drink. Children also have the opportunity to play and socialise before the school day begins.

After-School Club

Children are provided with a variety of healthy snacks, such as fruit, vegetable sticks, cheese and crackers, plus a drink. They can relax after the school day and take part in play, crafts and other activities.

To book a place, please email clubs@earlsterndale.derbyshire.sch.uk by 1:00pm on the preceding Friday.

Holiday Provision

We help families access holiday clubs and activities, including those available through local programmes. We are happy to advise on suitable provision and share information throughout the year.

Listening to Families

We regularly review our offer and welcome feedback from parents and carers. If you require childcare that is not currently available, please contact the school office — we will always do our best to explore options and support you.
