Forest School Anacondas-7th October
Linked to our rainforest topic this term, we had fun learning about anacondas this afternoon at forest school.
We found out that an adult female anaconda can grow to 10 metres! A great opportunity to learn some size language- ginormous, enormous, gigantic, humongous. We learnt they are constrictors, they can dislocate their jaw to eat animals whole and like to be near water.
We measured 10 metres using metre sticks and made a class anaconda from children, then we collected sticks and filled her in with leaves. Some amazing teamwork! After all the excitement, we finished with a hot chocolate and biscuit.
We have also learnt a song about a snake...I've been eaten by a Boa Constrictor!
