At Earl Sterndale Primary School, we believe that a rich and varied education goes beyond the classroom. As part of our commitment to “Making Good Decisions Together,” from September 2026 we are proud to offer WOW Wednesdays!

Each Wednesday, pupils take part in high-quality sessions delivered by expert external providers, including:

• Physical Education (PE)
• Music
• French

These sessions are designed to provide pupils with enhanced experiences that broaden their skills, confidence, and cultural awareness, building on and extending our core curriculum.

WOW Wednesdays ensure that every child benefits from a well-rounded enrichment offer, including opportunities in sport, the arts, and wider life skills—key areas identified as essential for a full and balanced education

These experiences are further enhanced through:

• access to the Kidslingo language learning platform
• participation in sporting events and competitions
• opportunities to perform in large-scale events such as Young Voices and Making Space

Through this programme, pupils:

• develop teamwork, resilience, and creativity
• experience specialist teaching and new opportunities
• build confidence in performing, communicating, and expressing themselves
• discover new interests and talents

WOW Wednesdays form part of our wider enrichment entitlement, which also includes trips, clubs, leadership opportunities, and outdoor learning. Together, these experiences support our pupils to become confident, curious, and well-rounded individuals, ready for their next stage of education and beyond.
